Artist Statement
My name is Justice. I'm 17 years old and I'm a senior in high school. I've been a cheerleader since I was five years old. I've been on the varsity squad for three years now for Pickerington High School Central. My favorite color is pink. I have three sisters, two brothers, and two dogs. I love to go shopping and hang out with my friends. I am very outgoing and open to everyone. I'm the type of girl that will go out and do something crazy and exciting.
Ever since I was a kid, I've always been interested in taking pictures and capturing the moment. I was always the child that wanted to hold the camera or take the picture. Every once in awhile, you'd catch me taking pictures of myself, or as you would call it now, taking "selfies." Last year when I was in photography, I loved editing my own pictures and being able to do whatever I wanted to do with them. It made me feel like I was expressing myself throughout photos. So that's why I took advanced photography digital. |
My sisters and I have a different relationship than most sisters. We fight and argue like normal sisters, but we bond throughout pictures, drawing, and making each other signs and posters. Up in our loft, we have a craft table. We will sit up there for hours making cute signs or drawings. My brothers aren't interested in drawing or coloring, but occasionally my little brother will come and join us just for fun. I love being able to connect with my siblings throughout art.
I hope to continue my interest in art and photography after high school. It sets me free into a place where I know I can express myself how ever I want. I can be myself and do whatever I want and only I have to know what it means.
